LAHORE: Petitions have been filed in Lahore High Court (LHC) against increase in price of petroleum products. Azhar Siddique advocate chairman of Judicial Activism Panel has filed the petition. The petition said the prices of petroleum products have decreased largely in international market. In this situation, the federal government enhanced the price of petroleum products without any legal justification. This increase in the price of petroleum products will escalate inflation further. Therefore, the court is requested to declare the increase in the prices of petroleum products null and void, the petitioner argued.
