LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has sought a reply from respondents on a petition seeking court’s orders to prevent the arrest of PTI leader Sanam Javed in any further cases. Justice Shahbaz Rizvi of LHC heard the petition filed by Snam’s father Javed Iqbal. Advocate Abuzar Suleman Niazi appeared on behalf of the petitioner. The counsel took the plea that Sanam Javed had been under arrest for the last 400 days. Justice Shahbaz Rizvi inquired why the petition had not been filed by Sanam Javed herself.
Advocate Abuzar Sulemani said that is not so easy as her venue of imprisonment keeps changing frequently. Sometimes, she is kept in Sargodha and sometimes in Mianwali. The court sought the detention order of the accused. It later adjourned the hearing of the case till today (Tuesday) while seeking a reply from the respondents on the non-provision of access to Sanam Javed.
