Pakistan sports contingent taking part in Russia games for first time
According to Pakistan’s diplomatic mission in Moscow, the opening ceremony was held on Monday at Tula, Russia
ISLAMABAD: A Pakistani sports contingent comprising cadets from three military colleges of the country are participating in multiple sports events organised in Russian city, Tula for the first time under the auspices of International Military Sports Council.
According to Pakistan’s diplomatic mission in Moscow, the opening ceremony was held on Monday at Tula, Russia, which was witnessed by Russian Deputy Defence Minister, Yunus-bek Yevkurov as the guest of honour. Brig. Muhammad Asif Khan, Pakistan’s Defence Attaché to Russian Federation, was also among the honoured guests.
The delegation comprises three officers and 15 cadets from Military College Jhelum, Military College Murree and Military College Sui. The sports events will include many track events, volley ball, basket ball and boxing competitions and will be continued till June 30, 2024.
