Girl killed in KP rain-related incidents
PESHAWAR: One person was killed and 10 others sustained injuries as rains and gusty winds hit parts of Khyber Pakhtun-khwa on Saturday.
Police sources said a girl child was killed and 10 other persons sustained injuries in rain-related incidents in Dera Ismail Khan. They said a minor girl Faryal was killed while her brother Saqib sustained critical injuries when a tree uprooted by gusty winds fell on them in Basyakhel area in Dera Ismail Khan.
In Kot Baily in Dera Ismail Khan, a man identified as Kamran, Raidah Bibi of Sokri Zabta Khan area, a girl child Iqra Bibi and three other persons sustained injuries when the boundary walls of their houses collapsed in Turra Mir Alam village due to heavy rains.
They said another person Shafidullah of Kotka Mir Alam sustained injuries as a tree fell on him. Meanwhile, Peshawar and adjacent areas received light and intermittent rain with strong gusty winds that turned the weather pleasant.
