PESHAWAR: Adviser to Chief Minister on Information Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif on Saturday said the provincial government did not need to have backdoor contacts with the establishment.

Talking to Geo News, he said that the military authorities were in touch with Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur about the government’s decisions. He said the provincial government did not need to have backdoor contacts with the establishment.

He said the government should have contacts with the military officials, however, there was no need for backdoor contacts. To a question, he said it was up to Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai to talk to the leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Muttahida Qaumi Movement, adding the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf did not want to talk to the PMLN and MQM.

Barrister Saif said that the PTI founding chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan had directed them to talk to those, who were willing to work for bringing stability to the country. He held PMLN and Pakistan Peoples Party responsible for the problems being faced by the country, adding that the PTI founder had directed them not to hold to the leaders of the two political parties.
