Rs40.5 billion for urban development

LAHORE:The Punjab government has allocated Rs40.5 billion for urban development in the province for the fiscal year 2024-25.

This included a total of 250 schemed (162 ongoing and 88 new schemes), the budget document revealed. It stated that Rs15.417bn will be spent on the ongoing schemes and Rs25.082bn for the new schemes. The main ongoing schemes included 38 schemes in LDA, 33 schemes in Wasa Lahore, 50 schemes under the head of District Development Programme-II, nine schemes under District Development Package and eight schemes were foreign aided projects.
