Book on Sindh’s agriculture launched
A book discussing the agricultural problems of Sindh penned by agriculture expert Mustafa Nangraj was recently launched at the Arts Council of Pakistan (ACP).
Sindh Agriculture Minister Sardar Muhammad Bux Khan Mahar was the chief guest at the launch ceremony who said awareness programmes would be initiated to provide modern knowledge to the farmers of Sindh.
He added that the agriculture sector of Sindh was strong but there was room for improvement.
He said the Sindh government was working on providing solar power to the farmers. He called for focusing on exporting mangoes and starting initiatives to promote organic farming and use of eco-friendly fertilizers.
The author said that he had mentioned in his book the management policies in agriculture and the dire need for new projects in Thar.
