Nurses, Midwives Day
LAHORE
A private college of nursing celebrated International Nurses and Midwives Day 2016 on Thursday with a ceremony that highlighted the service nurses provide across the globe.
According to a press release issued here, the day is celebrated worldwide since 1965. This year’s theme is Nurses: a force for change: improving health systems' resilience.
The ceremony began a welcome address by Misbah Zafar, Director of College of Nursing.
The college then highlighted the services of Florence Nightingale through a presentation and dramatic representation by the students. The ceremony ended with a prize distribution ceremony.
The yearly celebration is a platform to encourage nursing professionals at a national level to share their views and ideas for the development of the field.
