MNA praises Frontier Foundation services
PESHAWAR: Member National Assembly Shandana Gulzar on Wednesday praised efforts of the Frontier Foundation Hematology Services for the free treatment of thalassemia patients and control of the disease in the province.
The lawmaker visited the Frontier Foundation Hospital and met with the thalassemia fellows where she was briefed on the free treatment of thalassemia patients and the steps being taken for raising awareness about the thalassemia and other blood-related diseases.
Frontier Foundation Chairman Sahibzada Muhammad Haleem, Administrator Dr Fakhar Zaman, Director Project Laiba Fayyaz and others were present on the occasion, said a press release.
Dr Fakhar Zaman gave a briefing to visiting guests about the free of cost treatment facilities for the patients.Shandana Gulzar appreciated the courage of thalassemia fellows, who were fighting the disease with bravery and resilience. She saluted to thalassemia fellows and lauded their courage for fighting the disease with strong determination.
She said that social norms should be given up to save the next generations and control the fast spreading thalassemia and other blood-related diseases.“We cannot provide a safe future to our children until and unless we quit the social customs,” the MNA said, adding that the Frontier Foundation Hematology Services was doing a tremendous job of saving precious lives for children. She assured the Frontier Foundation of her fullest support to help ailing humanity.Later, Chairman Sahibzada Muhammad Haleem gave away the shield to the MNA and thanked her for visiting the health.
