Heatwave to continue, says Met office

LAHORE: Mercury in City soared to 43.5°C on Tuesday while the Met office warned that heatwave would continue till 27th May.
Met officials warned that day temperatures were likely to remain 04°C to 06°C above normal in Sindh and Punjab on 22 May (today) While 06°C to 08°C above normal from 23rd to 27th May while day temperatures were likely to remain 04°C to 06°C above normal in Islamabad, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Balochistan from 22nd to 27th May. The officials said continental air was prevailing over most parts of the country while a high pressure was prevailing in the upper atmosphere and likely to persist during next few days.
