Education equality
Education is the fundamental right of every female citizen. In fact, Pakistan has dramatically expanded educational enrolment for both girls and boys in the last few years. However, despite this progress, girls in Pakistan still face more challenges in accessing quality education as compared to boys. This can be due to financial constraints but also challenges unique to girls such as the lack of safety for women and girls in the public space. The more distant the schools, the greater the risks for girls.
Many families also prefer not to send their daughters to school due to ingrained patriarchal stereotypes. Removing these obstacles is a complex issue. Some potential solutions include promoting gender equality, providing a safe learning environment, and offering scholarships for girls. It is important for the government and society to prioritize education for all.
