President summons NA session on 13th
The session has been summoned in exercise of the power conferred by Article 54(1) of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan
ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari Friday summoned the National Assembly session on May 13.
The session has been summoned in exercise of the power conferred by Article 54(1) of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
As per understanding reached between the government and opposition in a meeting with Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq last month, discussion on the Motion of Thanks will commence in the next session from 13th May, 2024.
The Motion will be discussed for five days and the duration of each sitting will be five hours. Ten minutes will be allotted to the members from all parties; however, the parliamentary leaders will be get more than 10 minutes.
On the first two days, one member each from the opposition and government will be allowed to speak on the Motion.
