Powerlifters leave for Hong Kong

LAHORE: Two powerlifters on Thursday left for Hong Kong to feature in the Asian University Classic and Asian Equipped Powerlifting Championship. Muhammad Abdul Jabbar Adnan and Veronika Sohail Khokhar will be representing Pakistan in this event.
Dr Muhammad Abdul Jabbar Adnan will be competing in Masters-1 category. He has to his credit golds in the 2013 Commonwealth Championships Auckland and at the 2014 Asian/Oceania Powerlifting Championships at Melbourne.
The 20-year-old Veronika Sohail Khokhar will be competing in Asian University classic Powerlifting Bench Press Championships on Friday (today). She has to her credit gold medal in the 2018 Asian Classic Youth Powerlifting Bench-Press Championships Dubai.
