Completion of Blue Area Parking Plaza by June’s first week ordered
Islamabad:Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Chaudhary Muhammad Ali Randhawa visited under construction Blue Area Parking Plaza and other development projects in the city on Wednesday morning.
Officers of concerned formations accompanied the chairman during his visit. Randhawa was informed that the parking plaza will consist of two basements, ground and five floors. In which 1200 vehicles could be parked simultaneously. Similarly, there would be 18 shops on the first floor of the parking plaza, a restaurant and a cafe on the rooftop would also be constructed.
Randhawa while issuing instructions said that the construction of shops on the ground floor should be completed in 20 days to be allotted through auction and rental basis . Similarly, shops on the first floor of the parking plaza towards Jinnah Avenue should be allotted on auction/rental basis. He further said that the construction of Blue Area Parking Plaza should be completed by the first week of June. He said that further delay in the parking plaza project will not be tolerated and the completion deadline will not be extended.
The CDA chairman also visited the Jinnah Avenue Blue Area F-9/G-9 development project. He reviewed the progress of construction work on the project. Later, he also visited Islamabad Model Prison. He made a detailed review of the ongoing progress in the construction work. He directed that in the first phase of construction including the construction of boundary wall, barracks, admin block, watch tower should be completed in 100 days while work on the remaining phases of the construction works of the prison should also be carried out simultaneously. He further instructed that all the projects should be completed as soon as possible.
