Vegetable market traders protest against rising incidents of snatchings

Traders from the fruit market staged a protest on Tuesday morning and blocked the Malir Cantonment Superhighway link road for hours due to the increasing incidents of snatchings targeting fruit vendors.

Traders and fruit vendors gathered on the Malir Cantonment Superhighway link road to protest following a robbery incident involving a trader en route to Fruit Mandi on Superhighway. The protest caused a massive traffic jam. The protesters said snatchings targeting fruit vendors heading towards the market have become routine.
