PM involved in wheat scam: Asad Qaiser
Asad Qaiser said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s government had formed the caretaker government
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Asad Qaiser on Monday said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is involved in the wheat scam and that his government is staging a drama on the ‘scandal’.
Addressing a press conference along with PkMAP Chief Mehmood Khan Achakzai and Sanaullah Baloch of BNP-Mengal, Asad Qaiser said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s government had formed the caretaker government.
He said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is involved in the wheat scandal and that money should be recovered from him. “We are with the farmers, the government is doing drama on the scandal. Though there have been many problems with Maulana Fazlur Rehman in the past, we are standing with every party that considers the government illegal,” he said.
The PTI leader complained that his party is not being allowed to hold rallies, which is its legal right. “Even, the children of members of the National Assembly also know that they are sitting illegally in the parliament. The suspension of the Peshawar High Court’s decision by the Supreme Court is a welcome sign,” he remarked.
He said that the people in Balochistan have many reservations, adding that those living on the border of Pakistan should join together and the provincial and federal governments should listen to the concerns related to Chaman.
Meanwhile, PkMAP Chief Mahmood Khan Achakzai said that the sit-in has been going on in Chaman for more than 190 days, adding that the protesters are demanding that a case be registered against the deputy commissioner and FC.
He said that the US ambassador can meet anyone he wants. Achakzai further said: “We have faith in our friends, it is a good thing that the US ambassador met the PTI leaders who presented their position to him. We are a free nation and want supremacy of the Constitution in the country,” he remarked. He claimed that they have never been involved in any unconstitutional step. Achakzai demanded Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif take notice of the wheat scandal.
