Increasing trend in vegetable prices continues
LAHORE:Increasing trend in the prices of almost all vegetables continued on the second consecutive week alongside massive overcharging and open violations of the rate lists in the absence of the any check from the government authorities.
However, reduction in poultry price continued in the rate lists only. But, likewise other perishable, the poultry rate lists were not observed as well. The chicken meat sellers refused to sell at the official rates. This week price of chicken was further reduced by Rs22 per kg, fixed at Rs374-388 per kg, sold at Rs450-460 per kg, and chicken meat by Rs32 per kg, fixed Rs563 per kg, and sold Rs600-1100 per kg.
The price of potato soft skin unchanged at Rs70-75 per kg, sold at Rs100-120 per kg, B-grade fixed at Rs60-65 per kg, and C-grade gained by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs50-55 per kilogram, mixed sold at Rs80 per kg. The price of onion A-grade reduced by Rs13 per kg, fixed at Rs115–122 per kg, sold at Rs150-160 per kg, B-grade at Rs105-110 per kg, sold at Rs130-140 per kg, and C-grade fixed at Rs95-100 per kg, sold at sold at Rs120 per kg. The price of tomato A-grade gained by Rs15 per kg, fixed at Rs85-90 per kg, sold at Rs150-160 per kg, B-grade fixed at Rs75-80 per kg, and C-grade at Rs65-70 per kg, mixed sold at Rs100-120 per kg. The price of garlic local was reduced by Rs10 per kg, fixed at Rs255-265 per kg, sold at Rs350-400 per kg, and Garlic China by Rs10 per kg, fixed at Rs620-640 per kg, sold at Rs800-1000 per kg, Garlic Harnai further gained by Rs25 per kg, fixed at Rs4850-505 per kg, sold at Rs600-650 per kg.
The price of Ginger Thai gained by Rs10 per kg, fixed at Rs585-605 per kg, and Ginger Chinese gained by Rs10 per kg, fixed at Rs565-585 per kg, both sold at Rs800 per kg.
Cucumber Farm fixed at Rs40-43 per kg, sold at Rs80 per kg, and cucumber local gained by Rs10 per kg, fixed at Rs48-50 per kg, sold at Rs140-150 per kg. Brinjal price was further gained by Rs10 per kg, fixed Rs100-105 per kg, sold at Rs160 per kg. Biter gourd unchanged at Rs100-105 per kg, sold at Rs150-180 per kg.
The price Spinach farm further gained by Rs3 per kg, fixed at Rs36-38 at Rs80-100 per kg. Zucchini local was reduced by Rs30 per kg, fixed at Rs180-185 per kg, sold at Rs250 per kg, Zucchini farm further gained by Rs10 per kg, fixed at Rs76-80 per kg, sold at Rs120-140 per kg, and Zucchini long by Rs4 per kg, fixed at Rs60-64 per kg, sold at Rs100-120 per kg.
The price of lemon China further gained by Rs20 per kg, fixed at Rs220-230 per kg, sold at Rs400 per kg, lemon by Rs80 per kg, fixed at Rs470-490 per kg, sold at Rs800 per kg. Pumpkin was increased by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs95-100 per kg, sold at Rs150-160 per kg.
Green chili price A-grade further increased by Rs10 per kg, fixed at Rs100-105 per kg, sold at Rs200 per kg, B-grade fixed at Rs62-65 per kg, sold at Rs150 per kg. Capsicum price was increased by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs52-55 per kg, sold at Rs120-150 per kg.
Price of cauliflower was further gained by Rs60 per kg, fixed at Rs145-150 per kg, sold at Rs200 per kg, cabbage unchanged at Rs38-40 per kg, sold Rs100-120 per kg. Carrot Chinese reduced by Rs3 per kg, fixed at Rs47-50 per kg, sold at Rs160-200 per kg.
Arum was further gained by Rs20 per kg, fixed at Rs220-230 per kg, sold at Rs400 per kg. Ladyfinger unchanged at Rs240-250 per kg, sold at Rs300-350 per kg.
