Four, including woman, injured in firing incidents

Four people, including a woman, were injured in separate incidents of firing in the city on Thursday.

A 37-year-old woman, Razia Bibi, wife of Rafiullah, was shot and injured during a clash with neighbours within the limits of the Khawaja Ajmer Nagri police station in North Karachi.

She was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Further investigations are under way.

Meanwhile, a teenage boy identified as Najam, son of Adil Raza, was shot and injured during a mugging bid in Gulistan-e-Jauhar within the limits of the Sharea Faisal police station. He was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medical treatment. Further investigations are under way.

Separately, a youth, Fazlur Rehman, 20, son of Akhtar Zaman, was injured after he was shot for offering resistance during a mugging bid near Quaidabad within the limits of the Shah Latif police station.

He was shifted to the JPMC for medical treatment.

Meanwhile, Irshad, son of Anwar Hussain, was injured after a stray bullet hit him in Orangi Town. He was taken to the JPMC for medical treatment. Further investigations are under way.
