LAHORE: US’s Lahore Consul General Kristen K. Hawkins has emphasized the United States backing for a wide array of initiatives aimed at empowering Pakistani women farmers. These efforts include providing training in agricultural best practices and facilitating connections with microfinance institutions and breeder associations.
Hawkins highlighted this support while speaking at the inauguration of groundbreaking “Gender Smart Farm” in Kasur alongside Deputy Mission Director of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Maura O’Brien on Tuesday.
