KARACHI: Pakistan’s 21 squash players are featuring in seven international events in May. According to details, Mehmood Mehboob, Khakan Malik, and Israr Ahmed are featuring in the $6000 Singleton Open in Australia from May 1-5.
In the first round, Unseeded Khakan is to face Yuta Ando from Japan and Mehmood will play against Javed Ali from Australia while Israr is drawn against James Nicholas from Australia. Ashab Irfan got bye in the first round of the $12000 Hyder Trophy in the United States from May 1-5.
Ashab Irfan, Huzaifa Ibrahim, Abdul Malik, and Saeed Abdul are featuring in the $6000 Kiva Club Open in the US from May 7-11. Abdul Malik, Huzaifa, Ashab got byes while Saeed is drawn against Matias Lacroix from China in the first round.
Khakan Malik, Talha Zubair, Ashar Butt, M Farhan, Mutahir Ali, Ahmed Amin, Shahab Khan, M Fawad, Sikandar Khan, M Essa, Meer Fayaz, and Fawad Hussain are taking part in the $3000 NT Open in Australia from May 8-12.
Hamza Khan has got entry on PSA Invitee Place in the PSA World Championships from May 9-18 in Egypt where he is drawn against Nicolas Mueller Switzerland in the first round. M Essa and Fawad Hussain are participating in the $3000 Auckland Open in New Zealand from May 16-19. Asim Khan and Tayyab Aslam will participate in QSF 3 (PSA Bronze) in Qatar from May 22-26 where Tayyab is up against Aly Hussein from Egypt and Asim is to face Abhay Singh from India in the first round.
