16 booked in Pattoki for thrashing rape accused

KASUR: A criminal case was lodged against 16 accused for taking law into their hands as they maltreated a man accused of attempting to rape a minor girl.
According to the case lodged by Pattoki police, the accused blackened the face of the suspect, shaved his head and eyebrows, garlanded him with shoes and forced him to sit on a donkey at Malikpura locality.
As per FIR, the residents of Malikpura allegedly caught a man who attempted to rape an eight-year-old girl.
Alarmed by the screams of the minor, the residents of Malikpura gathered outside a house and caught the accused. The mob also made a video of the incident.
Police claimed to have arrested four accused, including Akram, Zaka Abid, Khalid and Amjad.
DPO Tariq Aziz, in a press release, said no one will be allowed to take law into his hand and the violators will be dealt in accordance with law.
