ATC approves bail of Sheikh Rashid’s nephew in May 9 cases

FAISALABAD: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC), Faisalabad on Friday approved the bail of Sheikh Shafiq, nephew of former federal minister Sheikh Rashid, in four siege and arson cases related to May 9 incidents.
Sheikh Shafiq appeared before the ATC led by district and sessions Judge Javed-ul-Hassan Chishti in the cases of attack on intelligence agency’s office on May 9, home of former interior minister Rana Sana Ullah and others.
The court approved the bail plea of the accused in four cases against the surety bonds of Rs1 lac each. The accused was ordered to appear before the court on next hearing.
