ISLAMABAD: A Saudi woman who was reportedly kidnapped from Islamabad’s residential Sector F-8 in mysterious circumstances, has been recovered from Karachi and shifted to Islamabad, police confirmed.
The police registered first information report (FIR) under section 365 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and initiated investigation.
Badar-ul-Haribi, a Saudi emissary in Islamabad, lodged a written complaint with the Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Operations, saying that a Saudi woman was kidnapped from the Sector F-8, falling in the jurisdiction of Margalla Police Station.
The complainant claimed that a Pakistani identified as Abdul Wahed Shahid Khan kidnapped the Saudi citizen, praying to recover her and arrest the alleged captor.
The Margalla police lodged the FIR (No. 236/24) on 18th April, 2024 and constituted a team of expert police officials to investigate the issue according to the sensitivity of the case. The police recovered the woman from Karachi and shifted to Islamabad.
