PESHAWAR: Provincial Minister of Food Zahir Shah Toru has extended condolences and sympathy to those affected by the recent rains in the province.
He reassured the affected families that the provincial government stood in solidarity with them and was committed to providing all necessary assistance during the challenging time.
During his visit to Saukai village council alongside Deputy Commissioner Mardan Fayaz Khan Sherpao, Toru witnessed firsthand the tragic loss of life and property caused by the collapse of a house’s roof, resulting in the deaths of a mother and her children.
He attended the funeral prayers of the deceased and conveyed his condolences to the grieving families, assuring them of all possible support and cooperation.
Accompanied by Nazim Lal Badshah of Sokai village council, Kisan Council Member Taj Muhammad, former Nazim Bilal Ahmed, and Nadeem Abbas, Toru said that Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur was closely monitoring the situation.
He discussed the establishment of a control room at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat and emergency control rooms at all deputy commissioners’ offices, ensuring round-the-clock assistance for those in need.
