Despicable attacks

Acid attacks are one of the worst forms of gender-based violence in Pakistan. The victims of these attacks are often targeted by male family members or by potential suitors for turning down marriage proposals.

The government needs to eliminate all forms of gender-based violence and do a better job of protecting women.
