MQM-P MPA Ali Khurshidi becomes Sindh Assembly opposition leader

Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) MPA Ali Khurshidi has been appointed as the leader of the opposition in the Sindh Assembly. Earlier, 36 MPAs belonging to the MQM-P had submitted an application to the assembly secretariat to declare Khurshidi the leader of the opposition in the House.
The Sindh Assembly speaker accepted the application. The leader of the opposition would get a salary, allowances and privileges as admissible to a provincial minister under the Section 7 of the Sindh Assembly Members (Salaries and Allowances) Act 1974, said a notification issued by the acting Sindh Assembly secretary.
