Six injured in gas leakage blast
NOWSHERA: Six people, including woman and children, were injured in a gas leakage blast in Khushalpura Bazaar in cantonment here on Wednesday, officials said.
The officials said that the injured included two men, two women and two children. Officials of the Rescue 1122 and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited rushed to the spot. The SNGPL officials suspended gas supply to the locality as the firefighters from the fire-brigade extinguished the fire. The injured were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital and Qazi Hussain Ahmad Medical Complex in Nowshera. A police party also rushed to the spot after the blast. However, it transpired that the blast was caused by gas leakage in the locality. The injured were identified as Tanzeela, Ambreen, Mohammad Haseeb, Javed, Madeeha and Shahsawar.
