Salman Khan faces threat after gunfire incident
Top Mumbai Police sources revealed that the attack was carried out by Rohit Godara
MUMBAI: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is facing a threat after a planned gunfire incident outside his Mumbai residence took place on Sunday early morning.
According to NDTV, on Sunday, at around 5 am, two men on a motorcycle fired four rounds outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai and fled from the spot. However, CCTV outside caught the accused wearing helmets and riding a bike.
As per police sources, the meticulously planned incident was carried out by the assailants, part of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang. They came to the spot on a bike. The leader Bishnoi is currently serving his time in India’s Tihar Jail for his involvement in many high-profile murder cases including musician Sidhu Moose Wala, who was shot dead on May 29, 2022, in Punjab’s Mansa district.
Reports say that the scheme originated in the United States by Anmol Bishnoi, Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother who entrusted the task of selecting professional shooters to another gangster. Anmol also claimed responsibility for the shocking incident through a Facebook post.
Top Mumbai Police sources revealed that the attack was carried out by Rohit Godara. One of the prime candidates for the job has been identified as Vishal aka Kalu. The Mumbai Police said that the 58-year-old actor was present at home at the time of the incident. The case has now been reportedly transferred to the crime branch.
