LAHORE: The Inter-College Ramadan T20 Cup culminated with the Islamabad leg of the tournament’s final match resulting in victory for IMPCC H-8/4 at Miusam Cricket Ground. Earlier, the Karachi and Lahore legs of the tournament’s final matches had allotted victories to Jinnah College and Punjab College respectively.
IMPCC H-8/4 overcame Westminster by an impressive 63 runs at the Miusam Cricket Ground in Islamabad. IMPCC’s Fahad Saleem high-scored with 59 off 46 (7x4s, 1x6) and was followed closely fellow opening batter Abdul Jabbar who posted 56 off 47 with the help of six boundaries, allowing their side to set the target of 173-6. Awaisullah claimed a three-wicket haul for Westminster. In return, Westminster fell short of chasing IMPCC’s target courtesy of bowlers Husnain Ali and Siraj Ahmed, who bagged two wickets each while Fahad and Abdul further aided their side by returning with a wicket each. Awaisullah and Mohammad Ai, both of whom made 23 runs each, were the highest run-getters in the unsuccessful chase as Westminster could only manage 110-7 in 20 overs.
