Robber killed, two injured as child helps foil burglary
A child helped in foiling an attempted robbery in the Gulshan-e-Maymar neighborhood on Monday, leading to the death of one robber and the arrest of two others, both wounded.
Upon receiving a call from the family, the police swiftly arrived at the scene and surrounded the house where the robbers had gained entry. An exchange of fire ensued, resulting in the death of one robber, while the other two were apprehended.
The police revealed that the robbers had bound women and children with rope and were in the process of looting the premises. During the ordeal, a child, Hassan, demonstrated remarkable courage by freeing himself from the rope using his teeth and then releasing his mother’s restraints. His mother contacted the police, leading to their timely intervention.
The incident took place at a residence located in Z3 Gulshan-e-Maymar. Along with the arrests, the police seized a pistol from the scene. The body of the deceased robber was transferred to the morgue after completion of medico-legal formalities at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
