‘Govt committed to provide relief to masses’
NOWSHERA: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Food Zahir Shah Toru on Saturday said the provincial government was committed to providing relief to the masses and the drive against corruption would continue.
The minister was talking to reporters after his visit to Nowshera. Member Provincial Assembly Zar Alam was also present on the occasion.
The minister visited various bazaars and asked about the official price lists for food items, especially focusing on the prices of vegetables, meat, and other commodities. The minister listened to complaints from citizens regarding inflation and breaches of official price lists.
He issued a stern warning to business owners dealing with food items, emphasizing the importance of complying with government-set prices or facing severe legal consequences.
He instructed the officials of the district administration and the Food Department to ensure the availability of food items to the public at government-approved rates.
