Women cricketers injured in accident but out of danger

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued a statement regarding a minor car accident involving two of its women players, Bismah Maroof and Ghulam Fatima. Both players sustained minor injuries but received immediate first aid and are currently under the care of the PCB medical team.

Despite the incident, they remain part of the probables attending a training camp for the upcoming series against West Indies Women, scheduled to commence on April 18.

On Friday evening, Bismah Maroof and Ghulam Fatima were involved in a minor car accident. While the incident resulted in minor injuries for both players, prompt first aid was administered, and they were swiftly attended to by the PCB medical team.

The PCB released a statement on Saturday, reassuring stakeholders and fans about the condition of Maroof and Fatima. The statement emphasized that despite the minor injuries sustained, both players received immediate first aid and are currently under the vigilant care of the PCB medical team.

In preparation for the upcoming home series against West Indies Women, both Bismah Maroof and Ghulam Fatima are part of a probable training camp. The series, consisting of five Twenty20 Internationals and three One-Day Internationals, is set to take place at Karachi’s National Stadium, with the first match scheduled for April 18.
