Wolves win All Pakistan Ramadan Cup
ISLAMABAD: Timber Wolves (Islamabad) defeated YMCA (Lahore) in the title decider to win the All Pakistan 3x3 Ramadan Cup Basketball Club Championship at the Pakistan Sports Complex here Wednesday.
YMCA dominated the first half by leading with 10-6 points. Ali Hamza Kazmi then staged Wolves recovery during the last minutes, securing six consecutive points to win the final by 18-14.
Ali Hamza Kazmi netted 14 points in all for the winners with Sher Shehzad scored four. For YMCA, Muhammad Salman scored five points. Pakistan Basketball Federation (PBBF) President Brigadier (r) Muhammad Iftikhar Mansoor who was the chief guest at the closing ceremony appreciated the efforts of the tournament organizing secretary Ouj E Zahoor and all other members for providing the best arrangements.
PSB Deputy Director General Muhammad Saeed Akhtar, PBBF Associate Secretary Ouj E Zahoor, FBA President Ejaz Rafi Butt, PBBF Chairman Selection Committee Col (r) Shujaat Ali, National Coach Malik Riaz, Azam Dar and other dignitaries also attended the closing ceremony.
