LUCKNOW, India: Four children were killed and 12 injured when a school bus overturned in Barabanki district in India’s northern state of Uttar Pradesh, a police official told Reuters.
The injured were rushed to the nearest healthcare facility, said Ajay Singh, a local police officer.
Singh said the children were returning from a picnic at a zoo in state capital Lucknow and the accident occurred when the bus driver took measures to avoid colliding with a motorcyle rider. Further details on the bus and the incident were not immediately available.
