NOWSHERA: Armed bandits robbed three people belonging to Azad Kashmir near the Rashakai Interchange on the Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway and damaged their car.
One Kamran Ahmad told the police that he along with his friends Altaf and Zaman belonging to Muzaffarabad were going to Mardan via the motorway when they stopped near Rashakai Interchange at around 3am to wait for their friends who were coming in another vehicle. He said that in the meantime four armed robbers arrived there and snatched cash and cellphones from him and his friends. He said that the robbers also robbed other people and left the place.
Meanwhile, the police killed an alleged robber and arrested his accomplice in the injured condition in the limits of Risalpur Police Station. The police had raided the hideout of the accused following a tip-off. On seeing the police, the accused opened the fire.
