LANDIKOTAL: The centralised exams system introduced in Khyber district concluded, with 48,425 students from state-run primary schools participating, officials said on Sunday.
Assistant Sub-Divisional Education Officer (ASDEO) for Jamrud, Wajid Khan, told reporters that, on the directives of the Directorate of Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, they introduced a centralised examination system in all government schools. The staff teams were constituted to supervise the examination in all primary schools across Landikotal, Bara, and Jamrud tehsils in Khyber district.
Wajid mentioned that, similar to board examinations, a single date sheet and identical papers were prepared for all schools. Students from Kids Group (KG) to grade 5th participated in the centralised examination. Despite being a challenging task for the education staff, it provided an organised and cheating-free approach to prepare students for future board examinations.
The overall results of all primary schools in the district were reported at 87 percent. This outcome of the newly introduced exams mechanism was significantly better than exams conducted in previous years.
