ISLAMABAD: Senior leader of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Syed Khurshid Ahmad Shah has said that if the PPP becomes a part of the cabinet in Punjab, then it will also part of the federal cabinet.

“The country cannot afford any kind of chaos and no political party should adopt the path of confrontation,” he said in a statement on Saturday.

Khurshid Shah said that for the economic revival of the country and the prosperity of the people, it is necessary that all the parliamentary parties should adopt an agreed plan of action and then stick firmly to this plan of action.

“This is the path on which we will be able to get out of the cycle of one step forward and two steps back,” he said.

Khurshid Shah advised the PTI to play its role in the Parliament because now decisions will be made inside the Parliament and not on the streets.

The senior PPP leader said the first priority of the PPP is the Parliament and we stand with the Parliament with all our strength and will continue to stand.

He said that some external forces are afraid of our development and the obstruction of the gas pipeline from Iran is also a part of that fear.

PPP leader said, “We are all aware of the obstacles placed in the way of CPEC and the country cannot afford any more losses due to such obstacles.”

He said that economic recovery is our first priority and all political parties should play their role for the economic improvement of the country.

Khurshid Shah said, “Pakistan is an agricultural country and we can revive the economy by developing agriculture, minerals and natural resources.”

He said that one of the reasons for our failure is that we formulate policies but failed to implement these policies consistently. He said that Maulana Fazlur Rahman is a wise politician and will carry out his politics in a better way.
