Negligence: Directive to replace DPS exam staff
LAHORE: In connection with the ongoing Matric exams, Secretary Higher Education Department (HED) Punjab Dr Farrukh Naveed Saturday inspected different examination centres and ordered the replacing of all exam staff at DPS Model Town for negligence in duty.
The Secretary also visited centres established at Govt Shuhada-e-APS Model School Model Town Lahore and reprimanded the superintendent for poor sitting arrangements for the candidates. He took serious note of the absence of the residential inspector. On the occasion, Dr Farrukh said negligence in examination duty would not be tolerated at any cost. In case of negligence, action will be initiated under the PEEDA Act and the examination staff was also instructed to ensure comprehensive search of the candidates while scanning the question envelopes. He asked the Board chairman to manage the shortage of invigilators and get invigilators from govt institutions. Dr Farrukh restricted the use of mobile phones in exam centres.
