Primary school, Sindhi language teachers offered voluntary retirement

In Sindh where thousands of primary school teachers are being recruited on the one hand, a circular was issued by the Directorate of Education Karachi on Thursday, according to which the primary school teachers (PSTs) and Sindhi language teachers (SLTs) belonging to Karachi Region have been offered to take voluntary retirement on completion of 25 years of their permanent service as per their wish.

It is stated in the circular that all the district education officers and TEOs/DDOs (primary) Karachi Region are hereby instructed to direct all the PSTs/SLTs who want to get retirement from government service on completing 25 years qualifying service (on a voluntary basis) to appear before the office of the Director of School Education (Primary) Karachi for personal verification and to get signature on the undertaking.

It is further directed that a certificate should be submitted with the retirement case in favour of the retiring person i.e. PSTs/SLTs that his/her name is not included in the absconders/habitual absentees list, which has been issued by office of the Director General (M&E) SE&LD, Government of Sindh Karachi/ CMO (M&E) of concerned district, in any discrepancy. It says disciplinary action shall be taken/initiated against the concerned officers under Efficiency & Discipline Rules-1973.
