Action against commercialisation fee defaulters ordered

LDA DG Tahir Farooq called a meeting of all sections of LDA. All directors of Town Planning, Housing and Metropolitan Planning participated in the meeting, which reviewed the performance of all sections.

Town Planning and Housing Wing presented their performance report. The pending applications were reviewed. The performance of all the directors of housing related to one window cell was reviewed.

DG directed that the citizens should not be circled for no reason, instead of raising objections the problems of people should be solved.

The details of the action taken against the illegal housing schemes were reviewed. Chief Metropolitan Planning presented the action report on the illegal schemes and land sub-division.

DG directed the Town Planning Wing to take strict action against commercialisation fee defaulters. He also directed the officers to regularly visit the approved housing schemes to ensure compliance with the rules.

A mechanism should be created to geo-tag all details of private housing societies, he said, adding strict action should be taken against illegal housing schemes and land sub-divisions.
