Centre opens at UET to facilitate students

PESHAWAR: Minister for Higher Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Meena Khan on Monday inaugurated the Student Service Centrer at the University of Engineering and Technology.

The newly established centre is a one-stop solution equipped with modern technology to facilitate the students in their academic matters such as transcripts, course registration and degree clearance.

UET Vice-chancellor Prof Dr Qaisar Ali apprised the minister of his step to facilitate the students on top priority with his student-centric approach. Deans, senior faculty

and administration were present on the occasion.

He said the centre would be equipped with modern technology and trained staff. Meena Khan said that promoting engineering education and facilitating the students from the remote areas of KP was a mission of UET Peshawar.

The minister appreciated the step and said: “This initiative aligns with the university’s vision of creating a vibrant educational environment that prepares the youth to become

leaders”.

Talking to reporters, the minister assured that the KP government would soon share the sustainable financial model for the universities so that they get out of the financial crisis. Hecalled for promoting a high standard of engineering education based on the demand of the market.Later, the vice-chancellor gave a presentation on the UET Peshawar’s activities, research portfolio and financial problems the university is facing.
