Steps on to provide free electricity up to 300 units: minister

BUREWALA: Federal Minister for Housing and Works Riaz Hussain Pirzada visited a utility store in Vehari district and reviewed the arrangements there.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the government was giving more than 40pc subsidy on 19 items. The federal minister reviewed the supply and quality of all items in the utility store. He inspected the flour stall and distributed flour bags among the people. The federal minister ordered to make separate counters for women and men.

Later, talking to newsmen, Federal Minister of Housing and Works Riaz Hussain Pirzada said that now every person would have to pay tax. The PMLN had managed Pakistan in every difficult time, he added. He said: “We have fought elections against inflation. Steps are being taken to steer the country out of the crises.” He said that work was under way to provide free electricity up to 300 units to the people. He said: “The Pakistan Army is the best institution and other institutions should also be made the best institutions like it.” He said that the country was being pushed to destruction by the corrupt officers and lists of such officers were being compiled. Riaz Hussain Pirzada said that there were many resources in Pakistan, but the resources were not being used. He said that Vehari was number one in cotton production, but the mafia eliminated cotton from the district. The government was making efforts to restore the first position of Vehari district in cotton production, he added.
