LAHORE : In anticipation of Palm Sunday festivities, Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) was actively engaged in cleaning activities across Christian communities in the city.
Special zero-waste and washing operations were organized in Youhanabad where more than 50 LWMC workers and two mechanical washers participated on Saturday. The cleaning of major churches in the city were also underway.
According to LWMC spokesperson Umar Chaudhary, a dedicated cleaning operation was carried out in Youhanabad, including the thorough cleaning and washing of St John’s Catholic Church and Christ Church.
The surrounding roads were cleared of waste, and water sprinkling continued on the roads leading to the churches. The LWMC is ensuring that Palm Sunday, Good Friday, and Easter preparations are made with enthusiasm and efficiency, as done every year.
LWMC was also celebrating with its Christian employees, sharing in their happiness. Citizens were urged to cooperate with LWMC by disposing of garbage in designated bins. Complaints related to cleanliness can be addressed by contacting LWMC’s helpline 1139 or through social media channels.
