Pakistan Peoples Party leader and Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has said the cipher was a drama, and Imran Khan concocted a false narrative regarding the census to protect his political interests.

Not only US Assistant Secretary of State Donald Lu but also former Pakistani ambassador to the US Asad Majeed rejected the claims of Khan, who hired lobbyists to save his politics and attempted to distort Pakistan’s image, he said in a statement issued on Thursday.

Memon said that the PTI’s sloganeering during Donald Lu’s speech made a mockery of Pakistan in the eyes of the whole world. He remarked that “the Congressman who supports the genocide of innocent Palestinians” was also a supporter of Imran Khan.

The senior minister stated that rigging to install Khan on the throne had commenced prior to 2018, and the unannounced censorship served as evidence of the rigging in 2018. There were irregularities in the constituencies during the 2018 polls, and European observers acknowledged that the results lacked transparency, he said.

Memon said the introduction of RTS in 2018 was aimed at bringing the PTI into power. To ensure the PTI’s victory in 2018, a “go-slow” policy was implemented with the voters during the elections, he said, adding that the process of counting, custody, or delivery of the ballot boxes was kept secret during those elections.

He stated that the true rigging in the 2018 elections was determining how much of the PPP should be dismantled. The rate of rigging against the Peoples Party was 50 percent, he claimed.
