Hassan, Hussain acquittal to tarnish judicial system’s image: PTI
In a statement, the PTI spokesperson said it would also shake the confidence of the nation in the justice system
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Wednesday strongly criticized the acquittal of Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz in the ‘mega corruption cases’ and said suspension of sentences of the proclaimed offenders involved in looting the nation would tarnish the reputation of judicial system.
In a statement, the PTI spokesperson said it would also shake the confidence of the nation in the justice system, adding the ‘shameful process’ of bringing the proven criminals, who looted the national treasure with both hands and built empires abroad, back to power after getting them dry-cleaned under the judicial patronage continued with full force.
He contended that after the mafia took the reins of the country, the justice system had been mortgaged in the hands of Sharifs and Zardaris to facilitate their children to take part in the loot and plunder of the national kitty once again.
The spokesperson recalled that during the past two years, the state buried shame, modesty, law and justice with its own hands to facilitate the return of the national criminals one after another.
Lashing out at the ‘double standards’ in delivery of justice, he said on the one hand, under the auspices of certified criminals, the court kept unjustly the nation’s beloved leader and former prime minister Imran Khan in jail for the last seven months and handed him down unconstitutional sentences, while on the other, proclaimed offenders were exonerated of mega corruption cases.
He alleged that the return of fugitive Nawaz Sharif’s sons in Al-Azizia Steel Mills, Flagship and Avenfield references was a practical manifestation of ‘Repeat Telecast’ of PDM Circus.
He said the acquittal of the elements, who had treated the nation as their slaves and ran the government as their personal fiefdom for 75 years tantamount to hurt the hearts of millions of the countrymen and to encourage corruption.
The spokesperson came down hard on what he alleged as the fake Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi for his statement pertaining to the suspension of social media platform ‘X’, demanding an immediate restoration of the social media platform.
He urged instant removal of the unjustified and unconstitutional ban on ‘X’ and said it was the old habit of Sharifs and Zardari mafia to use traditional and social media for their negative propaganda under the guise of media legislations.
