CBC put on notice on plea against keeping birds in DHA house
The Sindh High Court on Wednesday issued notices to the Cantonment Board Clifton (CBC) and others on a petition against a private zoo in the residential area of DHA Phase-I.
Samira Mohammadi submitted in the petition that the CBC is not taking action against the zoo owner, who keeps hens and other birds at his residence in DHA Phase- I. She submitted that the cantonment board was not implementing the public nuisance law as these birds were creating a lot of noise, disturbing her and other residents.
The court was requested to direct the CBC to take action against the private zoo and the keeping of birds in the residential area and implement the public nuisance law in letter and spirit. After the preliminary hearing of the petition, the court issued notices to CBC and others and called their comments on April 23.
