Aseefa files nomination papers for NA seat vacated by father

ISLAMABAD: Aseefa Bhutto Zardari has finally thrown her hat into the political ring submitting her nomination form for the upcoming by-election in NA-207 from Nawabshah.
Her father Asif Ali Zardari vacated the seat after his election as the president of Pakistan.
Zardari secured a significant victory from this constituency in the Feb 8 general elections. However, following his election to the presidency, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) declared the seat vacant in accordance with the law. Aseefa arrived at the returning officer’s office in Nawabshah to formally submit her nomination forms. Sindh Health Minister Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho, along with other party leaders, accompanied her.
