Favorites dominate cup Events at LRC

LAHORE: In an electrifying Sunday at the Lahore Race Club, favorites asserted their dominance in the cup events, while unexpected outcomes stirred excitement in the plate races, leaving spectators on the edge of their seats.

The day kicked off with an unexpected triumph as Amigo clinched victory in the opening race, surprising spectators and pundits alike. Following closely behind were Jhalthal in second place and Vartika in a surprising third-place finish.

In the second race, Puerto Rico caused an upset by seizing the top spot, defying expectations. Dur-e-Adan secured the second position as anticipated, while Black Master stunned with a surprise third-place finish.

The trend of surprises continued in the third race with Timeline emerging victorious, leaving spectators in awe. Sehar unexpectedly secured the second position, with Yes Commander surprising all by clinching third place.

Flightline took a surprising flight to victory in the fourth race, with Deedawer finishing unexpectedly in second place, and Casper, one of the favorites, settling for third.

The Sheikh Sajjad Hassan Memorial Cup lived up to its billing with a thrilling stretch duel between Acknowledge and Money Heist, ultimately won by Acknowledge. Enchanting One, initially considered a fluke, surprised everyone by securing third place.

In the Desert Prince Cup, Sarpanch cruised home as expected, followed by Shaman in second place. However, Varde One sprung a surprise by clinching third place in race six. Dil Awaiz lived up to her billing in the Mir Ikram Mehmood Memorial Cup, while J-K surprised everyone by taking second place, leaving Last Emperor in a commendable third-place finish.

The final race saw Western Lady delivering a surprising performance, claiming victory ahead of Prodigal Rain and Mera Gondal, who secured second and third places, respectively.
