Woman, man killed in road accidents

A man and a woman were killed in separate road traffic accidents, and the bodies of two other individuals were found separately in the city on Saturday.

A woman lost her life after a speeding vehicle hit her near the Super Highway, Lucky Cement Factory. Her body was transferred to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. She was identified as 52-year-old Nasiba, wife of Yusuf.

A person was killed in a road accident on the Karimabad flyover. He was taken to the Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK). The deceased was identified as 32-year-old Ameer Muhammad, son of Wali Khan.

The body of a man was found in the Napier area. Upon receiving information about the body, police and rescue transferred the dead to the CHK. The deceased was identified as 55-year-old Akram, son of Bakri Dad. SHO Sajjad Khan stated that the deceased was a resident of the nearby area, and his death occurred due to a heart attack. After conducting legal formalities, the police handed over the body to the heirs.

In the Ghani Chowrangi area within the limits of the SITE B Section police station, a body was found submerged in a drain. Upon receiving information about the body, police and rescue personnel retrieved the body from the drain, and transferred it to the CHK. SHO Rafiullah Khan stated that the immediate identification of the deceased could not be made, but he was estimated to be around 48 years old. The deceased appeared to be a drug addict. Doctors have preserved the postmortem report, and efforts are underway to identify the deceased through fingerprints. However, after legal formalities, the police transferred the body to the morgue.
