Schedule for Vaisakhi Mela celebrations
LAHORE: Minister for Religious Minority Affairs / Pradhan Pakistan Sikh Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora chaired a coordination committee meeting in connection with the organisation of "Vaisakhi Mela and 325th Khalsa Birthday" events in the month of April in the committee room of ETPB on Thursday.
During the meeting, Additional Secretary Shrines Rana Shahid Saleem, while giving a briefing regarding the Vaisakhi Mela 2024 and Khalsa Janam Day celebrations, said that under Pakistan and India, visas can be issued to 3,000 Indian citizens to participate in the Vaisakhi Mela. While the government has approved the schedule for holding Vaisakhi Mela celebrations, the visitors will reach Pakistan via Wagah check post on April 13.
They will be provided free accommodation, food, medical facilities in Pakistan while foolproof security arrangements are being ensured.
